Abstract

In modern world on line transactions and business and information sharing has become the integral part of life. And so also grows threat of the website attackers whose primary motive is to crash or bring down the servers running online and thereby creating a chaos to the normal life of people. In the list of this process one among them is the Dos Denial of Service Attacks. “A denial-of-service attack is a spiteful attempts to enormous a web property with traffic in order to disrupt its usual operations.” This paper gives is a brief description about Dos and DDos attacks and has discussed about the possible solution that can be made to prevent or keep the attacks to a minimum which has become essential to safe guard the networks and its services
